The Massaciuccoli is a water basin which is situated in West Tuscany and set between Viareggio and Pisa. It is almost seven miles wide and this nature reserve is sort of open air museum too. Since 1985, it was transformed to the Natural Reserve of the Oasis of Massaciucoli Lake. At present, this reserve is known as one of the most significant ornithological sites in Italy.
