Umbria region in central Italy has an area of 8,456 square kilometers with 900,000 inhabitants. Its capital is Perugia. This city is bordered by Tuscany, Marche and Lazio.
This region is hilly and dominated by the Apennines. The weather is typical Mediterranean with dry summer and mild winters at sea level.
This region is named for the Umbri tribe who settled here in 6th century.

Perugia is a beautiful site to view and a good option to stay away from daily life. City offers lot of good options to spend time with family and friends. There are lots of things for nearly everyone. “Lake Trasimeno (Lago Trasimeno)” is overall a good place for fishing, swimming and for water sports as well. This lake is surrounded by ancient architecture and has lot of things nearby to see. It’s also amazing to walk by the banks of it with somebody you love. “Museo-Laboratorio di tessitura a mano Giuditta Brozzetti” is the most interesting place to visit. This place has played a key role by keeping the ancient art alive. Nearly all the things kept in are antique. “Tempio di Sant'Angelo” is a must see circular church. Orvieto is a charming, spiritual, it has everything for everyone culture of Italy. You must like to walk and be friendly and love to shop, eat and see the real new and old italy their are museums, art frescas, hideaway eateries tipico, shoes,clothes, and just sitting and watching the people. The gelato is terrific and the scenery from all the hilltop areas cannot be beat. You are a car or trainride away from Rome, Florence and all the small quaint festivals and towns.
