The Palazzo dei Priori in Perugia is the most renowned civic structures, built by the Italian communes of Central Italy during the high middle ages. Built to house the city governments, the palace hosts the National gallery of Umbria, the Merchants Guild and also the Exchange Guilds. This historic building is worth visiting for its marvelous medieval period architectural work, red and white marble and interior as well as exterior art.
