Lake Trasimeno is the fourth largest lake in Italy. It spreads across 128 sq. Kms. And is about 3-6 meters deep. The lake attracts a variety of birds. This lake has three islands The Polvese, which is owned by the Perugian Government, the Isola Maggiore which covers an area of 23.2 hectares and the Isola Minore. When one visits this lake, one can witness the remains of the Etruscan civilization.
