Arabba is a tiny village in Dolomites where the native language is Ladin. It is part of the Veneto region of Italy. It is also a ski resort vacation destination for the tourists. It has over 29 lifts offering skiers 866 meters of vertical descent.
As per the local tourist information, it is difficult to find any historic details of the settlement prior to late 1600s when the local church was built. The main settlement was further down the valley, a village named as Livinallongo del Col di Lana. Archaeological finds reveal inhabitants traces back over 10,000 years. Further, in the middle Ages, this area was ruled from Andraz castle, which is located on a rock promontory in the valley.
Arabba is 1600m above sea level and is a paradise for skating and skiing. It has 47 pistes having a total length of 62 kilometers.
Climate wise, the best time to visit this place is from April to October month. The climate is milder in Arabba.
