The Ca' Foscari University is an Italian university and it is named as Ca’Foscari, which was the Foscari house on the Grand Canal. This palace was also the seat of the Royal Higher Commercial College founded in 1868 as the first higher education institute in Italy to deal with commerce and economics. The institute became a university in 1968 and has four faculties.
