Tourist guide Volterra

Volterra is a very famous town that is located in the Tuscany region of Italy.  The city is located on the northern outskirts of the city at an elevation of 531 meter above sea level and is also an administrative center in Italy. The city is considered to have a population of 11,360 when recorded in the year 2004 indicating that it is scarcely populated region. The total area of the city is only 95 square miles thus it is a small town in terms of area too. The most popular sports played here include football, basketball, volleyball, rugby and also cycling and ice hockey. The artistic history of the town is depicted from the famous Italian paintings. The major exports here include chemicals, petrochemicals, home appliances, defense technologies and food processing. Roman Catholicism is the most prominent religion followed here although the Catholic Church is no more formally the state religion. The climate here is reasonably mild near the coastal areas and more abrasive in the inland. The town experiences significant fluctuations and variations in the temperature during winter and summer.
