Latvia is located into the Baltic Region, in North-Eastern Europe.

Latvia borders with Estonia to its north, Lithuania in the south and Belarus and Russia to the east.

As many other countries born after the disintegration of the USSR, also Latvia culture has many similarities with the surrounding cultures and traditions.

For example, it's said that Latvians are closely related to the Lithuanians (as well as to all the people of the Baltic Regions), in terms of culture, social behaviours, traditions and habits.
