Latvia gastronomy entirely resumes what distinguishes the Baltic cuisine, that's characterised by vegetables, several kind of meat and a good production of fish (thanks to the closeness to the Baltic Sea).
A typical Christmas dish is the roast pork served with pan-fried sauerkrauts.
Latvians have huge daily quantities of coffe and tea. Also beer is greatly consumed.
