As the name suggest, the museum of the History of Riga and Navigation displays the historical details of the Latvian city Riga. It is located on the Palasta Street 4 in Riga.
The museum holds several temporary and permanent exhibitions all through the year. This is an ideal place to see the heritage and culture of Latvia. Apart from the local artifacts, this museum holds the exhibits of international artifacts as well.
All these exhibits are set on the first floor of the museum. The second floor features the medieval weaponries and items from Bronze Age. Tourists can see the sword of the executioner of Riga.
There is also a mummified hand of an unknown criminal on this floor. Visitors can see the cultural and economical growth of Riga since the ancient times in this museum.
The museum remains open for all days.
