Vilnius International Airport is the largest civil airport in Lithuania. This airport is situated almost seven kilometers to the south of Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. This airport began its operations in 1944 and the old terminal was built in 1954. Moreover, this airport is a state owned company and established by the Lithuanian Ministry of Transportation in 1991.
