Ponar is a very beautiful historic site to explore in Vilnius. Also known as Paneriai, it is a must see list when visiting Vilnius. Located almost six miles outside the Vilnius city, it is a historic memorial site. Almost 100,000 civilians which included 70,000 Jews were believed to be killed here by the Germans and the local sympathizers. Whilst here, one can get to know the historic.
