There are around 12 public holidays in Luxembourg that mark the different important events in the history and culture of the country. Some of the important ones include the New Year’s Day (1 January), Easter, May Day (1 May), Whit Monday, Grand Duke’s Birthday (23 June), Christmas and Saint Stephen’s Day (26 December).
The annual Carnival of this country is worth being a part of. It is held in the month of February and attracts tourists in great numbers. Besides this there are also several competitions, village fairs, sports and adventure festivals that are held all through the year.
