Getting around in Skopje

If you are looking for one of the oldest private art gallery placed in Skopje, you can't miss visiting the "Art gallery and antiques Bezisten".
The gallery has been founded in 1987 by Angelina Janevska, MA in history of art and archeology.

What you can see/find

The gallery presents artists from the first generation of Macedonian painters, as well as contemporary artists. In the first generations of Macedonian painting are already deceased painters like: Lazar Licenovski, Dimitar Pandilov, Nikola Martinovski, Tomo Vladimirski, Ljubomir Belogaski, Vangel Kodzoman, Angele Ivanovski and others. We continuously sell paintings from the older art generation like: Mile Korubin, Dragutin Avramovski- Gute, Dimitar Kondovski, Vanco Georgievski, Borka Lazevski, Rodoljub Anastasov, Trajce Jancevski and others.

The gallery also offers services like evaluation, restoration and certifications of paintings, sculptures, lithography and applied ceramics.
We have organized more than twenty solo exhibits of authors like: Bozidar Damjanovski, Sveto Manev, Mile Korubin, Milica Gornjak, Ivan Velkov, naive art from Vojvodina, the school of the village Kovacica, Mustafa Asim, Dragica Janeva and chamber exhibits of other famous Macedonian authors.

You will find a wide selection of woodcarving, especially from the famous Ohrid school of woodcarving.

Besides art, we also sell and evaluate antique furniture, mirrors, silver, icons, porcelain and other.
Our gallery, since 1995 is authorized dealer for Macedonia of the German brand Rosenthal who manufactures porcelain with the design of Paloma Picaso and Versace besides others.
For the lovers of exquisite jewelry it is mentionable that since 2003 we are authorized dealer for Macedonia for the world renown brand Thomas Sabo.
