The Maltese economy’s main driving forces are foreign trade, limestone, a productive labour force, and a manufacturing sector that is active in industries like electronics and pharmaceuticals. The country’s geographically favourable location means that tourism also forms an important economic activity.
Maltese prices can be a bit high, but tourists can live on on an average daily budget of 15 LM to 25 LM a day. The domestic bus system is quite efficient and inexpensive.
