Saint Julian is situated along the north-eastern coast of Malta, the principal island of the Republic of Malta. This seaside town of approximately 7,600 inhabitants is built around its tourism industry. It has the highest concentration of bars, hotels, pubs and restaurants in Malta.
Saint Julian enjoys a Mediterranean climate; winters, here, are mild but rainy, while summers are hot and dry. During summer, the temperatures consistently stay above 30°C, while in winter the average temperature is 15°C.
Until about 200 years ago, this region was nothing but a cluster of fisherman’s houses and one lone palace. It was ravaged by war and raids. It was only after the British took over that it started prospering into a seaside village and then, eventually a resort town.
