Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is the main airport of Netherlands. It lies at about 10.8 miles away from the Amsterdam city. Unlike other airports in the city, this airport possesses only one terminal.

All the airport facilities are aggregated under one roof. There are three separate halls dedicated to different services. The airport is served by the Schiphol railway station.

It lies underneath the complex of the passenger terminal. The trains arriving at the station connect to the major parts of Amsterdam and nearby cities.

The principal airlines serving at the airport include Aer Lingus, Aeroflot, Air France and British Airways. There are several ways to reach the airport.

The Main A4 route connects Amsterdam with the airport. Taxis and buses run frequently from the airport to vital spots in the city.

The airport facilities and amenities include language trolleys, pay phones, first aid kits, and currency exchange center, ATMs, luggage lockers and well appointed waiting rooms.

The airport is filled with restaurants, cafes and bars where visitors can grab a quick snack, meal and drink.
