The Amsterdam Historical Museum is housed in a beautiful 17th century building which was a former civic orphanage. This museum tells the history of Amsterdam through its many collections of art and artifacts from medieval times to the present day. The museum has religious exhibits too and provides for Amsterdam sightseeing in general.
