Rembrandtplein is a square which developed into a happening center for nightlife, with many hotels and cafes. The café terraces are worth visiting and are packed during the summer season with people enjoying a drink and watching the world, go by easily. Amidst the square is a green rectangle shaped grassland, popular place amongst the youngsters during sunny days. Around this square, one can get to see many night clubs and even gay venues. Some of the places of interest in Rembrandtplein are De Kroon, a grand cafe dating back to 1898, Cinema Tuschinski and Café Schiller Bar.
