The Bonnefanten Museum is full of art of old masters and contemporary art. It was designed by Italian architect, Aldo Rossi. The imposed dome of the museum lies at the side of Maas River and it also became one of the major landmarks of Maastricht. Some of the contemporary art collection of the museum includes works by an international group of artists and this is situated at the second floor of the museum. These collections include projections, room size installations and also large ensembles.
