Witte Huis was the tallest office building in Europe and was built in 1898 and designed by W.Molenbroek. This historic building was also one of the few buildings in the center of the city. The building has 43 meters of Art Nouveau and was the first skyscraper in Europe. This building also survived the bombing raid that took place in 1940 during the World War II. The height of the building is 147 feet and 45 meters.
