When in Noordwijk, take time for long walks at the beach. You can even walk to the neighbour city of Katwijk. Great places to stay at the Palace Hotel and the Hotel van Oranje. Local food like sea food dishes or the famous dutch pancakes are served in cozy restaurants along the boulevard. A nice shopping street provides all kind of stuff from fashion to jewlery etc. Plenty of bars invite for a drink or just a coffee along the street. In summer time more buzzling, in winter rather cozy and quiet. Location is great, in just 15 min you reach the city of Leiden, or if you like watersports you can drive in just 15 min also to the Haarlemer Meer. Also Amsterdam is just 30 min away...

I am from Manila, Philippines and I speak English, though I am trying to learn dutch but my dutch knowledge is not sufficient for me to understand your tour guide inside the cave. I know the tour guide is doing a great job, he is funny coz I hear laughter from dutch visitors, he is informative coz I heard dutch visitors "ohhhhhs" & "ahhhhhs" everytime he say something about the cave and very accommodating, coz he entertains every questions being asked by dutch visitors. But what about me who doesn't speak dutch. My request, please employ English speaking tour guide to make the trip of english speaking guests like me, to Valkenburg worthwhile. Thank you very much.
