Traditional dishes include stoba, a papaya stew; sopi mondongo, a soup in which the main ingredients are intestines; and kadushi, a cactus soup. Traditional Dutch food, with generous uses of fresh seafood and cheese, are popular. Saba Spice, a blend of rum, aniseed, cinnamon, orange peel, cloves, nutmeg, spice bush and brown sugar, and Curaçao liqueur, made from the sun-dried peel of a bitter orange and a mixture of spices, are popular local drinks.
