Norwegian cuisine is often found to be bland. One of its most popular specialities is boiled cod. Norwegian cuisine mostly relies on fish, freshwater and saltwater. Smørbrød, a local speciality, is very popular in Norway.
Norway has very strict rules regarding hard drinks which are served at specific times only.
Also, visitors must be careful while ordering gin or scotch as they will be served a sour-tasting Norwegian home brew unless mentioned otherwise.
