Tourist Guide Lillehammer
Lillehammer, considered Norway's oldest winter sport resort, provides you with a combination of long-standing traditions and the modern activities required by the people of today.
The city is situated at the northern end of Lake Mjøsa. With its beautiful,
traditional wooden architecture it has facilities and activities to satisfy
most any demand you might have on a holiday. Hosting the Olympic winter-games
in 1994 not only gave us a number of new attractions (all arenas are of course
open to the public), but also an unique opportunity to show the world what Lillehammer
has to offer.
After the opening of Oslo Airport Gardermoen just 150km from Lillehammer
the travel distance by bus or train is approximately 2 hours. There are frequent
train and bus departures direct from the airport terminal to Lillehammer.
