The National Gallery situated in Oslo comprises of some of the largest collection of Norwegian and international art of Norway.
These art forms the nucleus of the collection featuring some major works like paintings and even sculptures of the 19th and 20th centuries. A part of the National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design, this gallery has a significant library also.
This gallery was built in 1836 and got enlarged in 1903-07. The collection includes Swedish and Danish painters work.
