The Ibsen Museum presents the last home of playwright Henrik Ibsen and is situated close to the Royal Palace in Oslo. During his 100th year of commemoration of his death on 1906, the museum reopened with a completely different restored writer’s house having original interior and décor with original colors. However, in 1990, Knut Wigert, an actor took the initiative and the house and its collections were donated to the Norwegian Folk museum in 1993. The museum has permanent collections of Mr. Ibsen.
