Tourist Guide Bochnia
Bochnia is a picturesque and historical town situated on the Raba River in southern Poland and is the administrative capital of Bochnia County. Located 35 km south of Krakow, it is along the Przemysl-Krakow highway. The town has an efficient bus service which links it to the nearby cities, particularly the airports in Krakow or Tarnow.
The weather in Bochnia is similar to that of southern Poland in general. The climate is more continental in this region, with the summer season experiencing temperatures up to 23°C between June and August.
The town has about 30,000 residents and is a popular tourist destination because it is home to one of the oldest salt mines in Europe. Its gothic churches and tranquil location make for an ideal holiday away from other bustling urban Polish cities.
