Surely, you’ve heard of the Sopot Pier in Poland, famously known for having the longest wooden pier in Europe, but little do tourists know that Baltic coast town Gdansk has it’s own pier too.

If you are looking to escape the crowds and string of college kids that usually scatter Poland’s seaside resorts, the pier in Gdansk would be the perfect place for you.  Located on Brzezno Beach, this quiet beach suburb doesn’t attract a lot of tourists, but offers modern changing facilities and showers, small and large slides, and a volleyball court and soccer field.  There are also walking and bicycling paths running along the coast from Brzezno to nearby Jelitkowo.

If you happen to make it to Brzezno during the summer months, then check out the summer concert series organized by local city officials.
