Gdansk: Attractions and more...

The Gdansk History museum, with its wealth of exhibits, is a good place to begin exploring the culture and history of the region. Visit the fifteenth-century St. Mary’s Church, which is the world’s largest brick church capable of accommodating 25,000 people.

In Oliwa, one can find the twelfth-century cathedral with its main display, an impressive three-organ structure with nearly 8,000 pipes that can play different instruments and natural sounds. In the summertime, thousands flock to the place to hear the recitals and relax under the ancient trees of the Oliwa Park. Next, head down south to the dominating Malbourk Fortress, which is a must-visit for tourists.

The city boasts of more than 20 km of beaches and many cycling tracks, gardens and more. Several monuments commemorating the end of World War II can be seen around Gdansk. The quaint Old Town, with its souvenirs and a selection of tasteful restaurants, is an ideal place to shop.
