Poznan’s City Hall (or Ratusz in Polish) is located the heat of the city’s town center in the Old Town Neighborhood and was originally built in the late 13th century. Of particular note is a display of mechanical fighting goats that play out at noon daily above the clock on the front wall of the building, which is also one of the city’s main tourist attractions.
The interior of the town hall consists of two cellars, a ground floor and two upper floors and serves as a Museum of the history of Poznan. Also, there’s a courtroom that is still used today for minor court hearings.
Guided tours are available. For more information, check out www.poznan.pl.
