Poznan is home to a handful of wonderful parks (perhaps some of the best in the country) with Park Tysiaclecia being one of the most notable ones.  Located between ul. Warszawska and Lake Malta, it covers 26 hectares, in which during the warmer summer months you’ll find Poznan residents, visitors, and tourists taking walks, jogging along the paths or simply enjoying family days out.

Completed by the socialist regime during 1970s Communist Poland, it was first established as a military rifle range before being transformed into a park.  Visitors might want to be particularly careful with young children and animals, as bullets and other ordnance can still be found lodged in trees and in the ground.  It is also a great place for cyclists and sports enthusiasts to work out.
