This museum plays homage to the best known Polish woman in the world (or at least to physicists and science teachers). This small museum is actually the same house in which the two-time Nobel laureate was born and has many personal artifacts and personal letters on display as well as periodic special exhibits that illustrate Sklodowska-Curie’’s life in both Poland and France. One room is even recreated to the famed physicist’s laboratory.
The museum was first established in 1967 by the Polish Chemical Society and is open Tuesday through Sunday and closed on Mondays and Polish national holidays. The museum is located on ul Freta Street. Admission is 11 zloty for adults and 6 zloty for children.
