Located in the heart of Wroclaw’s town center and hard not to miss, the Alexander Fredro Monument sits right outside the Spiz microbrewery.  One of the most distinguished literary figures in Polish history, Alexander Fredro was a poet, playwright, and author who’s famous tales include The Monkey in the Bath, Paul and Gawel, and Zemsta, which was adapted into a big screen movie in 2002 and starred famed Polish director Roman Polanski.

The Alexander Fredro monument has grown to be a symbol of Wroclaw, and is usually a typical meeting point for locals and students coming together and looking to start their night of pub-crawling.  It is located on ul. Rynek Ratusz.
