Reviews The Post and Communication Museum
The Post and Communication Museum
Although as any local would tell you, Poland’s post office system still lags behind modern times (that package that you sent to your gradmother in Katowice? It’s still en route from Warsaw, two weeks later), but at least its museum in Wroclaw is worthy of some national pride. The Post and Communications Museum in Wroclaw (or Muzeum Poczty I Telekommunikacji) is housed inside one of Wroclaw’s first high-rises and displays everything from old postmen’s uniforms to stamps and a collection of post boxes of the world.
Unlike some museums in Warsaw, this one has good English explanations of its displays and exhibits. It’s quite interesting and worth your few afternoon hours while visiting charming Wroclaw. Located on ul. Krasinskiego Street, admission is 7 zloty for adults and 6 zloty for children. The museum is open everyday except for Tuesdays, with Sundays for free.
