This is an absolute must.  If you visit Zakopane, make sure you stop by one of the area’s most photographed spots.  Lake Morskie (or Morskie Oko) is the largest lake in the Tatra mountains, as well as the fourth deepest in the region and is where almost every Pole in the country has had their picture taken at one point in their lives.

The Morskie Oko dates back to 1575, it is arguably one of the most beautiful lakes in the Tatra region, and covers about 35 hectares and stretching 860 meters in length.  Tourists have been flocking to the area for over one hundred and fifty years and is easily accessible with a swift route from Lysa Polana (by bus) followed by an hour and a half walk.  A true nature’s delight, you won’t be disappointed with this breathtaking landscape.
