If you thought Zakopane was all about skiing, snowboarding, and snow activities, think again. Watersport lovers will not be disappointed by a trip to the city’s Aqua Park center. Sure, the ground might be covered with snow outside, but grab your favorite swim suit and goggles and get ready for an afternoon of guaranteed fun with the park’s geothermic pools, Jacuzzi, and massages.
After a long hot day’s hiking in the Tatra Mountains, water enthusiasts can enjoy a relaxing dip in the pool or Jacuzzi. If you are looking for something more adventurous and extreme, rafting is available on the Dunajec river. Ride the white waters in a raft or along in a dinghy with the mountain river providing guaranteed excitement and nerves.
If you are looking for another swimming alternative, then check out the city’s Kapielisko Szymoszkowa Pool, which is open during the tourist season and located in the Mercure Kasprowy Hotel.
