Castle wall remains are a landmark in Albufeira. These remains are of one of the Towers of the Castle wall and are located at the Rua Joaquim Pedro Samora. The Castle crumbled to dust at the 1755 Earthquake. There is a corner wall which is survived in Rua Joaquim Pedro Samora. One can also visit the remnant of St. Anne’s Gate, which forms part of the restaurant interior.
