Amadora International Comics Festival
This festival, as the name suggests, goes on to organize an exhibition of comics which have been published on the international level. As such, numerous competitions are held on this occasion. In the year 2008, there was a ‘Comic Book Competition’ held under the title ‘Fight Against Tuberculoses’. It had been promoted by none other than WHO, i.e. World Health Organization. It was a grand success. What else to say? This year too such competitions are expected to take place. It’s a brilliant way of fighting for a social cause; that too, through an element of comedy.
The visitors would enjoy this festival to the fullest. It goes without saying that social issues do not interest people much. However, if these issues are put up in a funny way, one can lend an ear to them. If the purpose gets served this way, nothing like it.
