An astonishing religious homage to the life of Jesus Christ. The Basilic that is the centre of this whole complex is simple boasts the best architecture of the Braga masters of Renaissance. There is also a long set of stairs with little chapels on the way that recount the life of Christ as narrated in the bible.
If you want to dodge the stairs, try the 200 year old funicular which is solely moved by the power of water, absolutely green! And have a lot of fun in the woods surrounding the cathedral with lakes, boats, tennis courts, kiddies parks, horses and wonderful green lusty photo worthy spots!
