Tourist Guide Estoril
The picturesque town of Estoril in the district of Cascais in western Portugal is located on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean with a population of 25,000 residents. It has gained prominence in recent times for its open ATP tennis matches and the motorcycle grand prix, all contributing to the glamor and the sophistication of the place which was once the a prime residence for several European royal exiles post the Second World War.
Owing to the Mediterranean climate, Estoril is blessed with mild winters and ideal summers. It is oceanic and mild without extreme temperatures and with sunshine for 300 days in the year. Starting from Carcavelos and stretching as far as Guincho, It is enriched with beautiful sights on land and an enchanting view of the seas.
One of the highlights of Estoril is its long beautiful beaches which are a water sports lovers’ paradise. A very popular beach is Carcavelos which is an ideal place for surfers to get their surfing boards out.
