The Frederico de Freitas Museum is a late 17th century house which was built for the Count of Calcada. It is at present home to many varied collections of Madeiran lawyer, Dr. Frederico de Freitas, who left them to the island when he died in 1978. There are furniture’s, porcelain Venetian glass, sacred art objects, artwork in many mediums and also wooden figures. Moreover, there are also antique instruments apart from 2000 jugs at this amazing museum.
