Tourist Guide Horta
Horta is a regular meeting point for yachts and for other vessels that cross the Atlantic, playing host to caravels, catamarans and clippers over the centuries. What’s more, this is a famous departure point for deep sea fishing trips, for scuba diving activities and for whale watching excursions. One can visit the museum having displays of antique furnitures, photos, portraits and nautical memorabilia of the busy harbour of the island. Many can even visit the Horta Museum or the Old Jesuitical College, worth visiting for its interior architectural art work.
