This church was one of the few buildings to have survived the great earthquake of 1755. The church has a plain façade with bell towers and beautifully decorated interiors. The church has intricate wooden carvings, 6 Baroque paintings representing the miracles of St. Anthony and blue and white azulejos. One of the delights is the polychrome statues of cherubs playing with fishes and animals.
