Jeronimos Monastery is also known as the Hieronymites Monastery. This historic building is known as one of the most significant monuments in Lisbon. It is also one of the most thriving achievements of the Manueline style of architecture. This magnificent building was built and funded by King Manuel I, in the year 1502. This monument was built in celebration to honor Vasco da Gama ’s and Portuguese voyages around the world.
