The name Chiado is referred to a famous square and it’s surrounding located in the city of Lisbon, Portugal. It is situated between the neighborhoods of Baixa Pombalina and Bairro Alto.
The square is renowned for its rich galore of shopping options offered by a blend of old and new commercial establishments, concentrated particularly in the Garrett and Carmo Streets. The place is visited by a number of locals and foreign visitors for buying garments, pottery, books and many other exquisite items.
The square is also known for having numerous elegant cafes and fine dining restaurants that serve wonderful local and international food. Chiado is also home to numerous museums and theatres that are extremely popular in Lisbon.
