This is the 3rd busiest airport in the country and has received the award for the best airport in the world. The Airport Council International gave this airport the Airport Service Quality Award for 2007.
The various airlines operating from here include Air France, British Airways, easyJet, Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa, Swiss International Airlines, Ryanair and others.
The facilities provided by the airport include information and help desks, bank and ATMs, post office, lost and found, luggage department, coffee shops, self service restaurant, bar, grill house, book shop, gift shop, wine shop and electronics shop, conference facilities and more.
The airport is linked to the center of the city via railway namely Porto Metro.
The STCP buses and taxis also link the airport with the city area.
