Sao Francisco Church

The Sau Francisco Church is also called as the Igreja de Sao Francisco and is the most well-known Gothic monument in Oporto in Portugal. This monument is also noted for its exceptional Baroque inner decoration. This historic building is situated in the historic center of the city and has been declared as the World Heritage Site by UNESCO. There is also a museum which is housed in the catacombs below and has artifacts from the former monastery period.
