It is safer to take a taxi than walk at night. Taxis are not expensive and are a safe and quick means of transport.
It is advisable to keep money and cameras concealed and in a safe place.
Adherence to traffic rules and norms is limited, so be cautious when driving.
Do not touch the black dolls, candles and images of saints in the middle of the streets, as many followers of witchcraft live in the city.
The streets around the cathedral are not very clean and are a regular hangout for the delinquents and drug addicts.
It is not safe to walk through such streets and areas at night time.
