Tourist Guide Porto Covo
Porto Covo is one of the two civil parishes in Sines and is situated to the west coast of Portugal, 170 km to the south of Lisbon. This town is quite well known for its beaches and numerous heritage places. Worth visiting sites are Herdade do Pessegueiro, Praca Marques de Pombal, Southwest of Alentejo and Vicentine Coast National Park and Forte do Pessegueiro, which includes the Forte da Ilha de Dentro, on Pessegueiro Island. This fishing port is amidst fine sandy beaches and in recent years has developed into a tourist resort too. One can find many rows of houses and holiday apartments here.
